Illinois Corn has entered into a promotional partnership with Kenny Wallace, NASCAR so that we can better tell the story of Illinois corn farmers and their families to a much, MUCH bigger audience.
At the same time, NASCAR announced on Saturday that they are moving to a 15 percent blend of ethanol to gasoline for the 2011 season.
Let me tell you, if these two announcements in one weekend don't excite you, I'm not sure what will. According to NASCAR.com, NASCAR is the No. 1 spectator sport -- with more of the top 20 highest-attended sporting events in the U.S. than any other sport -- and is the No. 2 rated regular-season sport on television. NASCAR fans are the most brand loyal in all of sports.
